This week we finally bought a bicycle trailer! It’s a Burley flatbed, and it holds up to 100 lbs. It’s already been used to haul about 50 lbs. of dirt from the nursery, and to bring home our new Earth Machine from Portland Metro. I think we’re going to get a flag to put on the back.
How is the compost device working out so far? We had to back off from composting a while back due to the attraction of critters. But, that was in an open space and now we need to look for something closed like this.
It’s working out great! I’ll add a picture of the assembled unit soon. It’s very secure–I don’t think you’d have to worry about any kind of critter gaining access. There’s even a place you could add a lock to the hatch/door–in case you didn’t want anyone stealing your finished compost.
