The strawberries have been divided and planted in a row. Also, in this photo you can see our first raised bed. It’s a dresser we found, made of wood, not particle board. The blue paint on it looks more like a stain than a lead-based paint, so we decided to re-purpose it. The back has been removed, and most of the dividers as well, making a nice deep bed. We’ve planted a few small chard and kale plants in it, as well as seeds for arugula and radishes. Not very far from the raised bed, marked by some sticks in the ground, you can just about see some of the other plants we’ve started. There are two small tomato plants, and some bush beans.
